Tente des glaneurs à Lille ( France)

At 13:30 every Sunday, 650 traders close down their stalls at Wazemmes market, one of the largest in Europe. At the same time, a few metres away, one stand like no other opens its doors, to the tent of the gleaners. On any week, nearly 700 pounds of fruit, vegetables, flowers and bread gleaned by the association with traders partners will be distributed. Moreover, food redistribution is not the only objective of the tent of the gleaners its founder imagined as a space of solidarity and conviviality, a social relay that allows insecure people to not sink into isolation.
