Waste Prevention Advisor (WPA) volunteer scheme (  Great Britain)

West Sussex County Council (WSCC) offer residents in the county the opportunity to study waste preventions through an e-learning course developed and managed by Dr Ryan Woodard from the University of Brighton. Once trained, volunteers go out into the community to deliver the waste prevention message. Some choose to focus on specific social sectors, some on reduction and recycling, whilst others specialise in training people in the use of composters. The Waste Prevention Advisor (WPA) volunteer scheme is a partnership between West Sussex County Council, the District and Borough Councils and the University of Brighton with additional funding from our European project partners SWAP NoW.
