FoodCloud connects businesses that have too much food to charities in their communities that have too little. The app then automatically sends a text message to the nearest community organisation in that area. If they can use the food on offer, they accept the offer and collect it directly from the business. If they reject the offer (not every food type suits every organisation), the offer is sent to the next nearest organisation and so on. Foodcloud is a community-based social enterprise that brings food businesses and charities together with an easy-to –use and reliable platform, matching those with too much food with those who have too little.
