[REMINDER] Country Reports Consultation on national food waste Policy Group A

We would like to kindly remind you that you are invited to participate to the Country Reports Consultation on national food waste policy in Europe that is taking place in the framework of the FUSIONS project. The overview of relevant EU legislation and policies was finalized the 25th of June 2015 and can be found here.

This Consultation on national food waste policy in Europe aims specifically at updating and integrating a preliminary version of country reports identifying policies that have an impact on food waste reduction and prevention. Data were gathered in EU Member and Associated States covered by the consortium, drawing on existing literature and publicly available information.

A preliminary version of the Country Reports has been drafted for Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, Norway and Turkey (GROUP A).

To date, this complete overview on existing national policies and legislation throughout Europe is lacking. To further the ambition to reduce food waste and increase the resource efficiency of Europe’s food system, it will be particularly important to exchange knowledge, ideas and best practices from the policy/legislative perspective. 

Therfore, we kindly ask you to support us in this extensive inventory. Your expertise and inputs on your country’s food waste legislation, policies and initiatives will bring a real added value to the country reports and it will contribute towards achieving a efficient and effective food waste policies across the EU.

We are looking forward to your input on policies and legislation influencing and/or targeting food waste. We kindly ask you to check and update where relevant information on Group A countries by 12th of December 2015. The full versions of the country reports are available as downloadable PDF.
