Green Hospitality Award Scheme ( Ireland)

GHA now has a membership of 150 hotels and 10 major catering businesses all working to reduce waste/energy/water use including food waste. 100 of these will achieve award status in 2010. 120 properties were surveyed in 2009 and showed a 6,000 tonne reduction in waste (no breakdown in relation to food waste but this is a large component of waste from this sector).
