FUSIONS RPMs 2015: registration is now open!

Every year, FUSIONS, with the collaboration of its partners, organise four Regional Platform Meetings (RPM). One of these meetings took place in Oslo on the 22nd of April, and the three others are scheduled to take place in Paris, Bologna and Budapest, respectively. The objective behind these RPMS is to facilitate discussion between key stakeholders in the food chain, to build consensus and to develop recommendations on monitoring practices and socially innovative measures for food waste prevention and reduction.

Members are invited to participate in the RPMS provided they register beforehand. More information on how and where to register is available further in the description.

Olso

The third Regional FUSIONS Platform meeting took place on the 22nd of April this year. The event mentioned the latest news about the recent research which has been undertaken about food waste the FUSIONS project and in Nordic countries. The focus for this RPM was to:

1. Raise awareness about how to reduce food waste through redistribution;

2. Mention food waste statistics; and

3. Strengthen the Nordic Platform

The meeting was organised by the Natural Resources Institute of Finland (Luke), the regional FUSIONS coordinator for the Nordic countries and Østfoldforskning/Ostfold Research, a partner of FUSIONS.

Paris

The Regional Platform Meeting in Paris will take place within the Deloitte compound on May 26th at 185, avenue Charles de Gaulle, 92200 Neuilly sur Seine. The purpose of this meeting will be for FUSIONS stakeholders to meet, discuss several topics on food waste and boost project progress, through a series of consultation sessions. This meeting is open to members and non-members and it is important to confirm attendance to the RPM to guarantee a seat. Bologna

The Regional Platform Meeting in Bologna will be held on the 22nd of May, 2015. This meeting has been organised by Last Minute Market, the regional FUSIONS coordinator for southern European countries. The focus of this conference will be the demonstrate the practices that are put into place to prevent food waste around the world, such as social innovation projects, case studies and policies used for monitoring food waste.
